The event featured three dynamic S&S Dialogue Panels and keynote addresses that explored Zambia’s policy direction, investment climate, technological innovation, and pathways for inclusive energy access.
1. Strategic Scaling of Utility Solar and Storage: Navigating Zambia’s Energy Transition and Grid Modernization
This session focused on scaling solar and storage integration to strengthen Zambia’s grid infrastructure. Panelists including Mr. Will Dryer (Western Solar Power), Mr. Emmanuel Sakwanda (Grid Transmission Limited), Ms. Kumoyo Vibetti (SIAZ), and Eng. Museta Daka Mbulwe (Ministry of Energy) shared insights on policy frameworks, grid innovation, and sustainable expansion models.

2. Financing Zambia’s Solar & Storage Future: Unlocking Investment for Scalable and Sustainable Growth
Finance and investment leaders from Stanbic Bank Zambia, First National Bank, GridX Africa, and Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) discussed innovative financing mechanisms to unlock capital for solar projects across utility, C&I, and off-grid segments.
“Financing solar in Zambia is no longer an aspiration — it’s a strategic imperative to drive energy independence and economic resilience,” said Mr. Nkandu Machungwa, Vice President – Energy, Stanbic Bank Zambia.
3. Community-Centric Solar & Storage: Enabling Energy Access, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Zambia’s Off-Grid Economy
This discussion highlighted how solar solutions can uplift communities, enable rural electrification, and support small businesses. Panelists including Mr. Agnelli Kafuwe (Ministry of Energy), Mr. Gift Nalubamba (G N Renewable Power Ltd), and Ms. Suzanna Chulu (Tisuka Group) emphasized the importance of people-centric models and social innovation.
