In recent years, SZSE has actively given play to the platform function of the capital market. Charged with the mission of “gathering innovation capital and stimulating growth drive”.

On 19 September 2022, the ChiNext Board ETF Option (underlying security: ChiNext Board ETF, Code: 159915) and the CSI 500 ETF Option (underlying security: CSI 500 ETF, Code: 159922) were listed for trading on the SZSE. SZSE Chairman Chen Huaping attended the launch ceremony. Director Zhang Wangjun of the Department of Market Supervision I of CSRC and Standing Committee member Zeng Pai of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee gave speeches via video link, and SZSE President & CEO Sha Yan addressed the ceremony on the spot. Officials and guests from the CSRC system, the Shenzhen Local Financial Regulatory Bureau and relevant market institutions participated in the ceremony. Together, they witnessed another important moment of the SZSE derivatives market.

Under the overall planning and guidance of CSRC, SZSE recently issued the Business Guide of Shenzhen Stock Exchange for Credit Protection Instruments (Revised in 2022). Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. (SSIC), as one of the first portfolio managers of the portfolio credit protection contracts (“CDX”), launched “CNI-SZSE CDX Portfolio for SZSE Major Issuers” and “CNI-SZSE CDX Portfolio for Major Issuers of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, marking the official start of the pilot project of CDX business at SZSE.

SZSE recently held a talk with heads of investment banking, quality control and internal audit departments of, and sponsor representatives from eight sponsoring institutions that failed to perform their duties properly on stock issuance and listing on the ChiNext Board. The talk aimed to further urge sponsors to fulfill their responsibilities diligently as “gatekeepers” in review.

SZSE launched its first corporate asset securitized product in December 2005 and provided trading service for the product through its comprehensive negotiated trading platform (block-trade system).

On April 12, SZSE’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “SSIC”) issued an announcement, saying that in order to better serve the development of the capital market and meet the diversified investment needs of the market, it has decided to revise the compilation plan of CNI cross-market index after seeking the opinions of market participants. The SSE STAR market securities that have been listed for over a year will be included into the index constituent selection pool while the other rules remain unchanged.
