Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK Festival 2025 (HKFW x SMUF) marks the 10th anniversary of two of Asia's most influential innovation platforms. From November 3 to 7, Hong Kong will welcome more than 37,000 participants, 800+ speakers, and 700 exhibitors representing over 100 economies, making this year's event the largest edition to date.

HKFW x SMUF brings together financial institutions, start-ups, investors, regulators, and global tech leaders under one roof to explore how technology continues to transform finance and the broader business landscape. The event is jointly organised by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, and Invest Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Securities and Futures Commission, and Insurance Authority.

This year's theme — “Curating the New Fintech Era” — reflects Hong Kong's role as a global connector, where capital, ideas, and innovation converge. The main conference, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, will feature 11 focused forums on key areas including:

• Digital Assets and Web3

• AI and Advanced Technologies

• InsurTech and HealthTech

• Wealth and Investment Management

• Green Finance and Policy Development

These sessions will deliver practical insights and real-world case studies to help businesses adapt to technological change and capture emerging opportunities in Asia's fast-evolving fintech landscape.

Start-ups will have access to the Global Fast Track Programme, which connects innovators from over 70 economies with leading financial institutions, venture capitalists, and corporate partners. Finalists will pitch their solutions live during the event, offering a direct route to partnerships, funding, and market entry across Asia.

In addition, the debut of “Samantha”, an AI-powered virtual assistant, will enhance networking efficiency by curating personalised meeting schedules and itineraries based on participants' interests.

Over 30 international delegations from Mainland China, Europe, North America, the Middle East, and ASEAN will take part in this year's programme. Their participation reflects Hong Kong's unique position as a bridge between East and West — offering companies a strategic base for regional expansion, cross-border collaboration, and sustainable innovation.
