This event was co-hosted by the International Monetary Institute (IMI) and the Department of Monetary Finance, School of Finance, Renmin University of China (RUC), and organized by the Macroeconomic Research Office of IMI. During the seminar, Zhang Bin, Deputy Director, Institute of World Economics and Politics, CASS, delivered a keynote speech titled “New Citizens and New Models: Housing Markets for the future”. Professor Wang Guogang, School of Finance, RUC; Member of Academic Committee, CASS; Li Xunlei, Chief Economist, Zhongtai Securities; Xia Lei, Chief Economist, Sealand Securities and Chen Xiaoliang, Associate Editor&Reviewer, Institute of Economics, CASS gave speeches respectively. The salon was moderated by Zhao Xijun, Co-Dean, Academy of China Capital Market, RUC.

On April 12, SZSE’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “SSIC”) issued an announcement, saying that in order to better serve the development of the capital market and meet the diversified investment needs of the market, it has decided to revise the compilation plan of CNI cross-market index after seeking the opinions of market participants. The SSE STAR market securities that have been listed for over a year will be included into the index constituent selection pool while the other rules remain unchanged.

On July 25, SZSE’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. (SSIC) officially launched CNI ESG Ratings Methodology and released ESG indices and ESG leading indices of SZSE’s core indices (Shenzhen Component Index, ChiNext Index, Shenzhen 100) that were compiled based on the methodology. It is a pragmatic measure of SZSE to fully apply the new development philosophy, give full play to the platform functions of the capital market, continue to refine the index system with SZSE’s characteristics, actively meet diversified ESG investment needs, and better serve green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

Discussions were also carried out on the enhancement of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect mechanism, the reform and development of the mainland and Hong Kong capital markets, and product allocation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
